Burgueño and Barón, new directors of Almussafes and Cerdanyola

Fernando Burgueño Iglesias and Héctor Barón Andreu have been appointed, starting on 21 August, directors of the Ercros factories in Almussafes and Cerdanyola, respectively.

Fernando Burgueño has a degree in Chemistry from the Rovira i Virgili University of Tarragona (URV). She has completed a master's degree in Occupational risk prevention at the European Institute of Health and Social Welfare and a Master's degree in safety management at the National University of Distance Education (UNED).

He joined Ercros in 2000, when he was appointed deputy director of the Aragonesas Delsa factory in Les Franqueses del Vallès; subsequently, from 2003, he worked as head of prevention at the Tarragona complex, first with Aragonesas and then, since 2005, with Ercros. Subsequently, he was head of operations at the Vila-seca I factory and from 2023 until his current appointment, director of the Cerdanyola factory.

Fernando Burgueño replaces Jose Montaner Roselló in the position of director of the Almussafes factory, who leaves the company at his own request. In turn, Héctor Barón takes over the management of the Cerdanyola factory in place of Burgueño.

Héctor Barón also has a degree in Chemistry from the URV and has completed a postgraduate course in the environment at Adedma.

He joined Ercros in 2002 as a technician at the dicalcium phosphate and chloromethane plant at the Flix factory. Between 2004 and 2023, he worked as an environmental technician, head of the dicalcium phosphate plant and responsible for energy and logistics. As a result of the closure of this factory, midway through last year, he was transferred to the Vila-seca I factory to work as a plant technician, a position in which he has remained until his current appointment as director of the Cerdanyola factory.
