Contemporary dance at the factory in Sabiñánigo

Industry and dance do not seem to be a usual pairing, however, this Saturday the Ercros factory in Sabiñánigo has become the stage for the representation of the contemporary dance show Kalopsia by the Peace of Mind company. The show has been part of a new edition of Sabiñánigo Contemporáneo, a biannual program dedicated to the dissemination of the city as a social, economic and cultural space.

Among the activities of this year's program, the participation of 50 people in a guided tour of the Ercros factory has been highlighted, conducted by Luis Gállego, former director of the factory and a great connoisseur of its history and operation. After the visit, in a historic warehouse of the factory, the dancers of the Peace of Mind company performed Kalopsia, a work that, in the words of its creator, explains everyday life from an optimistic point of view.

This edition of Sabiñánigo Contemporáneo has focused on the arrival of the train to the town in 1893 and the boost that this meant for industrial development; a development in which Ercros had and continues to play a key role.
