Ercros represents the chemical sector in a conference on safety

Barcelona,

Ercros has participated in a conference organized by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA), in Madrid, on the coordination of business activities in the transport of goods by road.

Manuel Arce, director of integral logistics of the company, acted on behalf of the chemical sector in the panel made up of loading and transport companies.

The Ercros manager spoke of the need to work on safety in the transport of goods and pointed out that the legislation poses difficulties in its implementation. He stressed that the coordination of business activities in transport has become a legalistic and documentary process, without a practical approach to prevention.

Manuel Arce highlighted the lack of functionality of the numerous platforms that carriers must use to provide documentation and the excess of bureaucracy. In the same sense spoke Carmelo González, president of the National Road Transport Committee (CNTC), urging the administration to resolve administrative problems as soon as possible.

In the conference's conclusions, Jaime Moreno, general director of land transport at MITMA, undertook to assess the proposals put forward by the transport sector.
