Ramón Jané, new industrial director of the intermediate chemicals division

Ramon Jané Pañella has been appointed industrial manager of the Ercros intermediate chemicals division, replacing Santiago Rodriguez Barrero, who has been appointed technology manager of the same division. Both appointments will take effect on May 2.

Ramon Jané has a degree in Chemistry from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He began his professional career in 1994 as a R+D technician at Derivados Forestales Group; subsequently, he joined the Cerdanyola factory as head of the laboratory; in 2006, after the merger of Ercros and Derivados Forestales, he was responsible for product development and technical assistance at this factory and, in 2020, he was appointed manager of the same factory in Cerdanyola. In September 2023, he was appointed deputy industrial manager of the intermediate chemicals division, a position that he has held until now.

The industrial management of the intermediate chemicals division is responsible for the three factories that make up this business – Almussafes, Cerdanyola and Tortosa – and the R+D department, based in Tortosa.

Before being appointed industrial manager of the intermediate chemicals division in 2020, Santiago Rodríguez was head of production and manager of the Tortosa factory, among other positions.
