The TIC provides security training to technical staff of the Generalitat

Personnel from the Ercros industrial complex in Tarragona (“ICT”) have given safety training to a group of technicians from the Generalitat de Catalunya, and more specifically from the Unified Environmental Management Office (“OGAU”) and the Environmental Control Group of the external emergency plan for the Tarragona chemical sector (“Plaseqta”).

Joan Miquel Capdevila, director of the ICT has received the students and has accompanied them during the visit to the facilities of the Vila-seca I and Vila-seca II factories. Xavier Poy, responsible for technical prevention at the CIT, has been in charge of providing training on the risks, safeguards and emergency procedures of the main chemical products that Ercros manufactures at its facilities in Camp de Tarragona.

The training and the visit is an initiative promoted by the Association of Chemical Companies of Tarragona ("AEQT") in collaboration with the OGAU, the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Territorial Services of the Generalitat in Tarragona.
