The Ercros factory in Aranjuez has responded to the request of the Tajo University Hospital and has paid for the adaptation of a room for the families of newborns who have to spend some time in the incubator.

When a baby needs to spend a few days in the incubator, a complex situation is created for its parents. In addition to the logical concern, there is a logistical problem: the hours of visits to the neonatal ward are very restricted and parents, until now, had to remain in the hospital's common waiting rooms.

The new living room, equipped by Ercros and made available to families, has sofa beds, coffee tables, a dining area, fridge, television and microwave. The decor has helped to create a cozy and relaxing environment. In such a way that the hours of waiting are spent in a more comfortable and private space, stress and anxiety are reduced and, in the words of the medical team, breastfeeding and bonding with the newborn are favoured.

The inauguration of the room was attended by Mª Carmen Cruzado, director of the pharmaceuticals division and the Aranjuez factory; Ignacio Ledesma, head of industrial relations of this factory, and representatives of the Tajo University Hospital, including its director Marisa García.

On the same day of its premiere, a family was already able to make use of the new room sponsored by Ercros.
