Ercros, finalist in the Atlante Awards for its management of covid-19
Foment del Treball has recognised Ercros' management of the coronavirus pandemic.
Ercros has been a finalist in the Atlante Awards granted by Foment del Treball, in the category of occupational medicine, for its management of the coronavirus pandemic which, despite the high incidence figures recorded in Spain, allowed Ercros' work centres to continue operating and the health of workers to be protected.
Chantal Coll, Ercros' director for sustainable development, was in charge of collecting the diploma, and stressed that the key to success was "the union and cooperation between all the people who make up Ercros, the absolute involvement of everyone, from the management to the workers' representatives, from whom we received unconditional support." Chantal Coll assured that "at first, when we were still not clear about what we were facing, we set up a worker protection system that later became a benchmark for other companies."
The jury praised Ercros' candidacy for "the health activities carried out by the prevention service, related to carrying out detection tests, case management, actions in cases of particular sensitivity, as well as collaboration with the public health system".
The Atlante Awards recognise good practices in occupational safety and, in their tenth edition, have sought to reward the efforts made by companies to protect workers during the covid-19 epidemic. The award ceremony was presided over by Albert Castellanos, Secretary for Enterprise and Competitiveness of the Department of Enterprise and Labour of the Generalitat de Catalunya, and Josep Sanchez Llibre, President of Foment del Treball.
