IQS students visit the Ercros factory in Vila-seca

A group of students from the master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the Chemical Institute of Sarrià (IQS) visited the Vila-seca I factory in Ercros.

The visit is part of an academic project focused on the recovery of waste heat from the hydrochloric acid production process, tutored by the head of the R+D department of basic chemistry of the Tarragona industrial complex, Joan Cambra, and the technician of the same department, Aleix Garriga. During the day, the students learned about the production processes and advanced in their project together with Ercros specialists.

This collaboration between Ercros and IQS highlights the commitment of both institutions to the training of future chemical engineers and the combination of theoretical knowledge with practical experience in an industrial environment.
