Aranjuez,

Biotechnology degree students from the Faculty of Biomedical and Health Sciences of the European University of Madrid visited the Ercros facilities in Aranjuez on October 14.

The students were able to learn about the areas of production, control and R&D, but they focused mainly on biological manufacturing: strain maintenance, microbiological control, fermentation and industrial extraction. They were also explained Ercros' commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility, as well as the different future projects that the pharmacy division is working on.

The Ercros factory in Aranjuez, which is over 70 years old, focuses on the production of pharmaceutical raw materials and intermediate products, mainly antibiotics, but also antiulcer and antifungal agents. Its products are sold to more than 90 countries on five continents.
