Hydrogen facilities specialists visit the Sabiñánigo factory

The Ercros factory in Sabiñánigo has opened its doors to a very specialized group of students and teachers who are studying a hydrogen systems maintenance program at the Pirámide de Huesca institute.
Hydrogen is a product that, in the Sabiñánigo factory, is generated in the manufacture of chlorine-caustic soda and sodium chlorate; and that it is used as a raw material in the production of hydrochloric acid, ammonia and hydrogen peroxide, and as a source of energy free of greenhouse gas emissions. The Sabiñánigo centre is well known in the industrial sector for its high degree of experience in the use of this hydrogen.
The group, accompanied by a technician from the factory, has toured several facilities of the factory. The visit lasted just over three hours and was very technical.
Visitors have valued the day very positively, as it has allowed them to learn first-hand about the practical application of the process of obtaining, using and harnessing hydrogen, an ideal complement to the theoretical knowledge learned in the classroom.
