Celebration of the World Day of Women and Girls in Science

On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Ercros organised various activities in its factories in Almussafes, Aranjuez and Monzón with the aim of making visible the role of women in science and promoting the interest of young women in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) disciplines.

At the CEIP Miguel de Cervantes in Xirivella, the Almussafes factory participated in a special day in which Laura Escribá, head of production of the paraformaldehyde plant, shared her experience as a student and professional in the chemical industry.

For its part, the Aranjuez factory commemorated this date with a five-minute rally in which all the female workers of the center participated. The director of the factory, Mari Carmen Cruzado, addressed a few words in which she highlighted the pride of being a woman in the scientific field and encouraged the attendees to promote the presence of women in technical studies and scientific careers.

Finally, the Monzón center carried out a presentation at the Santo Domingo Savio school, aimed at a group of 30 students of scientific baccalaureate. At this meeting, Pilar Salsé, R+D technician and Belén Pascual, head of R+D, highlighted the importance of promoting an inclusive environment in the scientific field.
