The director of the CIT participates in the anniversary of Dixquímics

Joan Miquel Capdevila, president and CEO of Dixquímics, and director of the industrial complex of Tarragona (CIT) of Ercros, took part in the event celebrating the entity's 25th anniversary. Dixquímics is the association that manages the pipeline infrastructure for the distribution of chemical products in a safe and sustainable way between the Port of Tarragona and the companies of the petrochemical estate.

In his speech, Joan Miquel Capdevila said that "the development and growth of the estate cannot be understood without the pipe rack, as it has contributed significantly to improving the competitiveness of our sector, the port and, therefore, of the territory".

The Dixquímics rack has more than 4,700 meters in length, 10 meters in width and three levels of pipes that allow the fast and efficient transport of chemical products. The rack involves the circulation of 85,000 fewer trucks per year on the roads of Camp de Tarragona, as well as a significant reduction in the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

In 2023, work has begun to expand the Dixquímics rack in the port area with the construction of a fourth level of pipes, which will contribute to further reducing the transport of raw materials and products by road, and therefore to improve safety and reduce environmental impact.
