Environmental education students from Jaca visit the Sabiñánigo factory
Five students from the Education and environmental control professional degree from the Pirineos de Jaca Institute have visited the Ercros factory in Sabiñánigo.
Future technicians are being trained to work in companies and entities that aim to preserve environmental resources; therefore, the visit to the Ercros factory, a pioneer in the protection of its environment, serves as a practical example of the theoretical subjects covered in class.
The visit began with a brief presentation by the factory staff about the operation of the company, its production facilities and its industrial activity. Afterwards, based on the profile of the students, the operation of the centre’s environmental management system was explained to them.
Finally, the students visited the hydrogen peroxide plant and the factory's wastewater treatment plant.
