Ercros celebrates the International day of women and girls in science

The Ercros factory in Aranjuez, belonging to the pharmacy division, has celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science with an activity to vindicate the work of women in jobs related to science, technology, engineering or mathematics.

Ercros’ female workers, all of them with a scientific/technical profile, have taken a photo showing the image of a girl who also wants to pursue a career in science, to demonstrate the need to stimulate girls' vocation for science studies. To promote the access of women to positions in the scientific field, on equal terms, is a fundamental condition for achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 5, which seeks to achieve gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls.

However, in many parts of the world, and also in our country, women still encounter obstacles to make progress in the field of science.
