Yesterday, Ercros presented the 2021 Ercros-Aragon Hydrogen Foundation Award for the best Bachelor’s Thesis to Elena Barrio Querol for her work “Design and optimization of electrodes for a co-ionic membrane reactor”. The award, granted and sponsored by Ercros, consisted of an economic endowment for the author of the work and the delivery of a diploma accrediting the tutors.

The prize is part of the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation Awards, organized by the Foundation for the Development of New Hydrogen Technologies in Aragon, in whose Board of trustees Ercros is a member. Luis Gállego, director of the Ercros factory in Sabiñánigo, presented the award to the winner on behalf of the company at the event that was held at the headquarters of the Government of Aragon, in Zaragoza, during the 37th Meeting of the Foundation's Board of Trustees.

The objective of the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation Awards is to stimulate research at the highest level and promote the study and knowledge of technologies related to the use of hydrogen as a source of energy, renewable energies and the decarbonization of transport and the energy sector.

With its collaboration in this initiative, Ercros, through its factory in Sabiñánigo, contributes to promoting the production and use of hydrogen, which is one of the pillars of the decarbonization strategy and the fight against climate change undertaken by the company within the framework of its 3D Strategic Plan.
