Ercros participates in the 13th Science Festival

Ercros participated last weekend in the 2019 Science Festival, which is organized every year by Barcelona City Council to promote scientific knowledge and involve citizens in its progress.

Hand in hand with the Societat Catalana de Química and the Institut d'Estudis Catalans, on Saturday, the head of the R&T plastics department of the chlorine derivatives division, Manuel Tierno participated in the colloquium Chemical elements and their role in the area of health and water. Manuel Tierno explained why chlorine is essential in water sanitation and purification processes, and its important role in disinfection and drug production.

On Sunday, Teresa Conesa, director of the general secretariat, participated, as a member of the jury, in the award ceremony of the video contest organized by the Catalan Society of Chemistry, within the framework of the international year of periodic table of elements, which is being celebrated in 2019 on the occasion of its 150th anniversary.
