Ercros rewards a young researcher in industrial process design

Tarragona,

Ercros has presented the Young Researcher Award, which recognizes researchers under the age of 40 with high-impact contributions to the design of industrial processes. The prize was awarded at the 16th International conference on properties and phase equilibria for product and process design, sponsored by Ercros, which was held in La Pineda (Tarragona).

Otto Moultos, researcher at the Technical University of Delft (Netherlands), has been awarded for his work on Prediction of thermophysical properties of hydrogen systems with molecular simulations. Manuel Tierno, head of plastics R&D at Ercros, presented the award to the young scientist.

Lourdes Vega, director of Ercros and director of the Centre for CO2 and Hydrogen Research and Development at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, and Fèlix Llovell, professor of chemical engineering and materials science at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili ("URV"), chaired this conference of international importance, which is a meeting point for academic and industrial researchers. During the meeting, the latest developments in the design of industrial products and processes were shared, with thermodynamics as a source of inspiration.
