Unizar chemistry students visit the Sabiñánigo factory

Two groups of students from the University of Zaragoza ("Unizar") have visited the Ercros factory in Sabiñánigo. In total, almost 80 students who are studying the degree in Chemistry or the master degrees in Industrial Chemistry or Molecular Chemistry and Homogeneous Catalysis.

The visits began with a talk by Ercros technical staff who informed the students about the operation of the company, the factories and their productive activity. Afterwards, the groups toured the hydrogen peroxide, sodium chlorate and chlorine-caustic soda plants.

These visits, promoted by the Inorganic Chemistry Department of the Unizar Faculty of Chemistry, are carried out every year and are highly valued by students and teachers, because they represent an interesting contact with the productive chemical sector and an adequate complement to theoretical concepts presented in the classroom.
