What is an electrolyzer and how does it work?

These equipment use electrical energy to generate a chemical reaction that allows the raw material to be transformed

In essence, an electrolyzer is a set of cells in which non-spontaneous chemical reactions take place that allow certain raw materials to be transformed. In a simple way, you could say that it is a set of chemical reactors that operate with electricity; the fact that these are non-spontaneous reactions indicates that, for them to occur, it is necessary to provide energy to the process. In this way, the resulting products will have a higher energy content than the reactants. As a basic idea, these devices make it possible to convert electrical energy into chemical energy, with the possibility of storing it and releasing it later.
