Cerdanyola certifies its energy management with the ISO 50001

It thus joins the Almussafes, Aranjuez, Sabiñanigo and Tortosa factories, the three factories in the Tarragona industrial complex that already have said certification

Cerdanyola,

Rina Services has certified the energy management of the Ercros factory in Cerdanyola according to the ISO 50001 standard. This factory thus joins the rest of the company's centres that are already accredited with this standard (Almussafes, Aranjuez, Tarragona complex, Sabiñánigo and Tortosa), so that more than 95% of Ercros' energy consumption is managed according to this international standard.

ISO 50001 is the most widely used energy management standard in the world, which helps companies to implement their energy policy and to properly manage the energy aspects of their activity, resulting in real and measurable savings in energy costs and an efficient and sustainable use of natural resources.

The Cerdanyola factory is part of the intermediate chemicals division of Ercros, employs around 100 people and produces thermoset moulding compounds used in the manufacture of electrical equipment and accessories for sinks and tableware, among others. 90% of the factory's production is exported.
