Ercros will market chlorine derived products certified by ISCC
Ercros is going to start marketing chlorine, caustic soda (liquid and pearl), hydrogen, hydrochloric acid, and sodium hypochlorite, produced at the Vila-seca I plant (Tarragona), which have obtained the ISCC Plus international sustainability and carbon certification for being manufactured using renewable energy.
The production of these products using renewable energy will enable the company to offer a more sustainable portfolio in line with the needs of its customers. The increased use of renewable energy in its production processes will contribute to achieving Ercros' goal of reducing CO₂ emissions by 39% between 2020 and 2025, as set out in the 3D Plan.
The ISCC Plus certification is issued by the German company ISCC System GmbH, whose mission is to provide credible certification to companies that meet environmental and social standards throughout the supply chain and can therefore communicate their sustainability achievements in their products.
