Ercros reaffirms its commitment to environment in Tarragona

Belén Brota, responsible of the technical department of quality and environment at Ercros' Tarragona industrial complex, underlined the fundamental role of data as a tool for assessing and correcting environmental impacts. "At Ercros we use data both to provide transparent information to the administration and citizens, and to register, control and reduce our emissions into the environment. Only with rigorous data can we draw valid conclusions and apply real improvements," he explained.

Brota was the Ercros representative at the round table on the use of air quality data and environmental improvement by companies, which was held within the framework of the 7th edition of the Camp de Tarragona Air Quality Observatory.

The technical manager highlighted the progress made at Ercros in terms of improving air quality, and highlighted the continued investment in technology, emission control and process optimisation.

She also pointed out the importance of coordination between industry, administration and society to move towards a more sustainable environment. In this sense, she valued the role of the Observatory as a platform for dialogue and rigorous analysis: "It offers us an objective vision of the evolution of air quality in the territory and allows us to identify areas for improvement".

Belén Brota ended her speech by explaining that Ercros invests in more sustainable technologies and decarbonisation projects because "commitment to the environment is no longer optional, it is essential".
