The new photovoltaic plant in Monzón reduces 220 t of CO2 per year
Monzón,
The new photovoltaic plant installed at the Ercros factory in Monzón (Huesca) reduces CO2 emissions by 220 tonnes per year. Its power is 750 kWp and its generation capacity is 850 MWh/year.
The power produced is used as a green energy source for the PVC compounding plant, which improves the carbon footprint of these products and accounts for about 30% of the energy consumed by the entire factory. In a second phase, it is expected that the plant will be able to sell its surplus to the power grid.
The new installation has been registered in the Administrative registry of self-consumption of power (Radne) of the Government of Aragon.
