Security in a Seveso company
Ercros participated in the annual APPI Industrial Safety Convention, organized by the Association of Entrepreneurs of Industrial Parks and Industrial Estates Ribera Baixa in order to raise awareness among its members of the importance of safety and emergency prevention. The event was held at the facilities of the Almussafes Retirement Home.
On behalf of the company, Juan Pablo Pérez, head of integral safety at the Ercros factory in Almussafes, intervened. In his presentation, he explained the extensive regulations on industrial safety that must be applied by a factory affected by the Seveso Directive, such as that of Ercros in Almussafes.
Juan Pablo Pérez also referred to the reasons why a certain industry is affected by this directive; he detailed the documentation that it must be completed, including a safety study, a risk analysis or a self-protection plan; and, finally, he reported on the periodic inspections that a Seveso industry must pass.
The Almussafes factory has a certified management system that includes occupational health and safety in accordance with the ISO 45001 standard and is accredited with the healthy organization management system (Sigos), which includes aspects of prevention in people's health and affects healthy lifestyle habits.
