We present Recycled Carbaicar, recyclable moulding compounds

Ercros is the first producer in the world to manufacture and market circular moulding compounds, under the Recycled Carbaicar brand. These moulding compounds are obtained using an innovative process that recycles the material discarded by customers. In this way, the useful life of the products is extended, and the circular economy is promoted in their manufacture and use.

The new Recycled Carbaicar range enables the production of more sustainable items without altering the properties of the standard product while reducing the carbon footprint through raw material and energy savings. It is one of the projects included in Ercros' 3D Plan for the 2021-2029 period.

The project is supported by the Government of Catalonia through Acció, the public agency for the competitiveness of companies, through its Nuclis R+D Green programme, and the Waste Agency of Catalonia.

The moulding compounds, which Ercros produces at its factory in Cerdanyola, are used to manufacture sanitary ware, electrical material, pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging, household goods and various products, such as buttons, dominoes and billiard balls, among others.
