The Monzón factory achieves OCS certification for zero pellet losses

The Ercros factory in Monzón has passed the Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) audit. The OCS is a voluntary worldwide commitment of the plastics industry that pursues the goal of zero pellet losses and accredits certified companies to comply with regulations on microplastics.

Obtaining this certificate highlights Ercros' commitment to reducing unintentional pellet losses in all its processes, prioritising action on the causes that provoke them rather than mitigating the consequences.

The OCS certification obtained follows the harmonised European scheme, which has been developed by Plastics Europe and EuPC, the associations of European plastics manufacturers and converters. The European certification is based on the Spanish scheme developed by the Spanish Association of Plastics Manufacturers, Anaip, licensee of the programme in Spain, and the certifying company Aenor. This initiative is supported by the Ministry of Ecological Transition.
