Natàlia Torrents, commercial manager of water treatment at Ercros, was in charge of collecting the award, in a ceremony that was held yesterday at the Barcelona Maritime Museum and which brought together the main entities and companies in the swimming pool sector.
The box has been presented in society at the Piscina & Wellness Fair, which is being held in Barcelona, from November 27 to 30, and has had an excellent reception from visitors to the Ercros stand.
Ercros, the first European producer of TCCA, celebrates this year its 50th anniversary as a manufacturer of products for disinfecting pool water. Ercros began manufacturing TCCA in 1973 and has been improving the performance of the product thanks to the innovations introduced in its formulations. Bilayer tablets, without boric acid, 100% mercury-free or with microencapsulation technology have been some of the main milestones achieved over the years by the R&D department.
Ercros produces TCCA in its Sabiñánigo factory and, in this process, uses chlorine and caustic soda as basic raw materials, manufactured in the same centre. The company markets this product, under the Delsa and Azuli brands, to specialized stores in different presentations, granules, powder, block, tablet and pill; it also sells it to industrial distributors in big-bags or drums.
